today with fresh eyes
I see what has escaped me~
and then tomorrow….
today with fresh eyes
I see what has escaped me~
and then tomorrow….
as my postures and prides and prejudices
are exposed
the water has access.
the water wears them down
patiently
purposefully
wisely.
as I wince from the pain of yesterday’s sharpness
I know the stones have less edge today
and will be smoother tomorrow.
I stumble through the stones
forgiving their youthful crags
stumbling with a willingness
to wait for the water to come in its own time.
migratory drift~
landing here in this moment
and then whispers on
more sun and shadows
and shimmers of greenish dawn~
waking of the land
Kachina Woman
spoke to the whole of my heart~
“you are an ally”
